HK-BAT-RH - Frame device with self-locking chicken flap 230x340mm + circuit attracting light

for battery operation with 4xAA batteries or power supply 6V DC or optionally with Solar kit from JOSTechnik .

Depending on the quality and manufacturer, the batteries last approximately 5-8 months. The battery symbol on the standard display flashes when the battery charge drops below 25%. A red LED on the circuit board also lights up, indicating that the batteries need replacing.

The HK-BAT opens and closes automatic flaps on poultry and chicken coops, aviaries or small animal enclosures at dusk or time or a combination of both.

Real emergency stop or emergency opening function:

If an animal is under the slider during the closing process, the motor is automatically stopped and the flap is immediately opened again.

The closing process is repeated automatically several times. No animal has to struggle to free itself from the weight of the flap, as is common with all other manufacturers!

This feature can be disabled in the settings.

The flap locks when closed. No predator can push it open.

Optional connection options:

• Connection for external buttons available (for manual OPEN and CLOSE operation).
• Outdoor light sensor. (If the HK-Bat is mounted indoors, an external outdoor light sensor is required.)
• Attracting light 6V 3W

Operating mode:

Operating modes for opening and closing, the combinations between twilight sensor and timer.

• Time & Light

o Opening time for the morning. The flap opens when it is light and the set opening time has been reached. Both conditions must be met.

o Evening closing delay. The damper closes when it gets dark and when the set closing delay (in minutes) has been reached or expired. Both conditions must be met.

• Time o Light (+ time delay)

o One of the set conditions for twilight or time must be met.

• Only time

o Lighting conditions are ignored.

• Light only (+ time delay)

o The set % value of the light sensor must be reached. Then the flap closes immediately or after the set closing time delay

• Manual operation

o Open and close with button

Attracting light:

• When powered by a 230V / 6V DC power supply or solar module, an attractant light with a 6V DC 3W light bar can be switched on.
• Attracting light switches on at dusk and before the hatch closes.

Assembly instructions

For indoor installation or if the installation location is shaded, an external outdoor light sensor is required. For wall mounting, only use the four pre-drilled holes in the housing corners, each next to the cover mount.
This prevents moisture from getting into the housing.

Due to manufacturing reasons, slight scratches may appear on the aluminum parts of the flaps. These do not affect functionality and therefore do not constitute a defect!
